Our gallery was founded in 2022

Zapata Gallery, established in 2022 by Zeriocha Zapata, is located in the heart of Miami. The gallery specializes in contemporary art and has an alluring selection of artworks from a diverse range of emerging and stablished artists.

Meet our team
Founder and Director

Zeriocha Zapata

Zeriocha Zapata, born in Peru, spent his youth in Cuba before settling in Miami, where he has resided for over three decades. Alongside his wife, Ledimary Zapata, he has devoted much of his life to a passion for art. A graduate in medicine from the University of Havana, specializing in internal medicine, Zeriocha has found in collecting, and currently in the establishment of Zapata Gallery, a means to express his creativity.

Gallery Manager

Mónica González

Mónica González (1991), a Cuban art historian based in Miami, Florida, earned her undergraduate degree in Art History in Havana, Cuba, and pursued advanced studies with a Master's degree in Art History at the University of Barcelona, Spain, where she also began her Doctorate in Art.

González has participated in various international events, such as Choice Paris and Collector Weekend at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, France (2016), as well as the exhibition "Todos los caminos" at the Louis Carré Gallery in Paris. She also contributed to the preparation and installation of the exhibition "HÖHENRAUSCH" at the Linz Art Center in Austria, held at the Kulturquartier in 2018. She has contributed to projects such as the exhibition presented by Kcho as part of the 59th Venice Biennale, two editions of the Havana Biennial, and the personal exhibition of Kcho organized by the National Museum of Fine Arts of Cuba (2020-2021).
